We’ve setup several wikis here at Boatwright for several purposes. There’s the Main Service Desk Wiki and Boatipedia. The MSD Manual Wiki is an example of an wiki for internal use and the dissemination of information to staff. Boatipedia is geared for our users and is actually replaceing our former FAQ pages.
Discovery Exercise:
- Review both wikis: http://msd.urlibraries.org; http://faqs.urlibraries.org
- Think creatively how these could be used even more effectively.
- Create a post in your blog about your thoughts and ideas. Could other library units benefit from a dedicated, internal wiki?
